How To Make Your Own Litter Box For Your Big Cat

Reminds me of Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Sydney is a big 19 lb cat, and for the last few years, I've been searching for a litter box that would fit him. The biggest ones on the market were never long enough, and so he would go in and think his whole giant cat body was in the box... and then he would pee just outside the box right in front of the litter box. The intent was there, but the execution was off. Plus, Sydney likes to pee standing up, so he needs an enclosed box. There was nothing big enough out there, and I knew that I needed a custom solution. So ever since reading about making litter boxes, I dreamed of making my own.
5 Months In
This is to remind future me that when I get nostalgic for Kiwi's early days I need to remember that this parenting thing is really tough. Even at 5 months, Kiwi is super-needy all the time, and I'm just exhausted. The whole experience is like a big ball of poo studded with diamonds. I'm hoping things get better once he can sit up by himself and play without my help.
Hard to Order
Bunky came home to find a crying Kiwi, and she was the only one who could console him. I went to order some food on the phone while she consoled him and took him to the diaper changing station. Unfortunately, just as I started ordering she started yelling at me for not changing Kiwi's diaper earlier, since it was stuck to him (though I had changed him less than an hour ago).
Waiter on phone: Hi can I take your order?
Bunky: OH HIS BALLS ARE STUCK!!!
Kabitzin: Uh... um...
Waiter on phone: What's going on over there?
After I explained that my wife was changing a diaper, he understood, but Bunky was laughing so hard that I could barely order while laughing.
The Flash
I got some more camera accessories for Christmas! Grabbed a LumiQuest Quik Bounce and an Opteka white balance card set. Now I can totally understand why people want to just make these things themselves. The card set feels sturdy and convenient, but I noticed that some of the cards seemed dirty and maybe slightly worn/scraped. This probably isn't a big deal, but it is a little annoying. The Quik Bounce is nice for times when I don't have a wall or ceiling to bounce light off of. It really increases the height of my whole setup, although I suppose that is good in terms of photography. I got the cinch strap too, since I'm not about to stick the velcro pads onto my speedlight. The Quik Bounce worked well in my initial tests, although the light is not as soft as when I bounce it off the ceiling (as expected).
