Larry Flips Him the Bird!

Here’s a story from the NBA world (no, not Kobe). All I can say is, it’s about time. As great a player as he might have been, Isiah was not a good coach. That’s just from an objective viewpoint. As a Knicks fan, I think it’s a shame they fired him since I enjoyed the thought of Pacer fans beating their heads in over his boneheaded rotations. Maybe I can stop hating on Pacers once Reggie Miller retires. We’ll see about that, though.

Sitting on Jello

Well Nets lost but at least they lost to a classy team. Too much Tim Duncan and Kenyon Martin did not show up to play. I am happy for David Robinson and the Spurs who no longer have to deal with the absurd assertion that their first championship should have an asterisk next to it and am so glad that the arrogant lazy Lakers didn’t win. Here’s to hoping Jason Kidd stays around and New Jersey adds some outside shooters and learns how to run a halfcourt set. Oh yeah, and I hope dearly that the Knicks actually draft someone good and don’t give up on him immediately. Not that that will happen…

Visited Byrd Theatre and the rest of Careytown this weekend. Very nice place. The inside of Byrd was just gorgeous and very historical. I enjoyed seeing Gangs of New York for only $1.99 as well. The only complaint was that the cushions on the seats are rather uncomfortable and can only be described as tall blocks of Jello with hard springs inside…

Dem Boards

Finally got to watch a game of the NBA finals and the Nets did me proud, holding on to win. Wow, talk about terrible shooting woes for the Spurs. They should have been blown out, but the Nets really do have some issues with their halfcourt sets. I think by tomorrow I should have the cable up and running, thank goodness. All I need now is for the DSL to be set up and I will once again be connected to the outside world for longer than 1 hour a day. It is very hot and humid today. Richmond is very hot and humid in general.

Over at the Anipike boards, I heard news of a Naruto fighting game. That sounded pretty cool but I doubt it will be released in the states, and I probably wouldn’t have the console to play it anyway. Yesterday the colored pencil experiments continued and I finished a decent pic of Nami from One Piece. I definitely like the art style in that series. When I get some cash, I plan on checking out the manga and any available translations. Personally I prefer the Japanese versions along with fan translations because fans who are willing to translate usually do a great job and put a lot of love into their work.

Hello World

Mamojishki:

Bean/Trivial Knowledge. Anyways, this is my first Blog posting and since I’m kind of a newb at this I hope it doesn’t turn out too badly. I’m thinking that this Blog will be permanently tied to my KOLAAP art site, and while I may try to stay on topic, dealing with fanart and such, chances are that won’t happen. I think I like to ramble way too much for that to happen. Anyway, as I get used to Virginia (so different from the Tri-State area!), I’ll probably end up posting random thoughts here since my tablet is packed away at the moment and so I can’t really draw anything or post any art to my website. What a mistake that was…. Soo, with that in mind, Go NJ Nets and Devils!!! And hopefully the Knicks will try to actually draft smartly this year and let their pick develop… Check out ESPN’s NBA site and you may get a dose of Scott Layden’s latest brilliant attempt to get fired. Also currently waiting for my Morrowind and Tribute games to arrive to keep my attention occupied until I can start drawing. I’m not too sure how the linking on this works just yet so here’s another link that I like: Penny Arcade. I’m not too sure about the html prowress of this blogger program just yet, so better to play it safe for now. Ok, that’s it for my first post. Hope everything turns out ok and I update this at reasonable intervals ^__~.
