Bounce with me, with me, with me...
I got some more camera accessories for Christmas! Grabbed a LumiQuest Quik Bounce and an Opteka white balance card set. Now I can totally understand why people want to just make these things themselves. The card set feels sturdy and convenient, but I noticed that some of the cards seemed dirty and maybe slightly worn/scraped. This probably isn't a big deal, but it is a little annoying. The Quik Bounce is nice for times when I don't have a wall or ceiling to bounce light off of. It really increases the height of my whole setup, although I suppose that is good in terms of photography. I got the cinch strap too, since I'm not about to stick the velcro pads onto my speedlight. The Quik Bounce worked well in my initial tests, although the light is not as soft as when I bounce it off the ceiling (as expected).
