I bought another gig of RAM for $14 (free shipping!) from Newegg, and popped it into the Wind. It was a really simple install; I just loosened the screws and popped open the bottom of the case. The RAM snapped right in, and the computer recognized the RAM immediately. I set the overclock to 15% (rather than 8% or 24%), and everything just worked.
I emailed MSI’s customer service to ask permission for this upgrade so that I wouldn’t void my warranty. They cleverly put a sticker over one of the screws so I had to puncture the sticker to get to the netbook’s innards.
