Super Sales
I know I’ve been lax about updating, but I’ve been so busy that I’ve been exhausted once I get home. I think SSAB got half as many updates as usual this month, but I’m looking to get back into the swing of things. Anyway, I had a great Thanksgiving, although it was more low-key than usual. The turkey was great, but I lost the annual wishbone breaking contest against my brother for the first time in many many years.
My brother has become quite the shopper lately, and so I somehow got roped into Black Friday madness. In previous years I had been dragged to stores at 6 AM, but this year was even crazier. We were out the door to take advantage of sales as of midnight, and we shopped until 5 AM. I felt like a zombie afterwards, but the outlet malls were packed. We hit the first one at midnight, but it took about half an hour to make the left turn to the entrance and then another 45 minutes to park. Still, the prices were great, and my brother got a bag full of Ralph Lauren clothes for about $160. We then headed to a different (newer, nicer, better) outlet mall, and my brother got even more clothes. I grabbed three shirts, and the deals were excellent (most things were at least 50% off until 10 AM).
Of course none of this could compare to the deal that my mom had gotten earlier in the week. She’d bought three shirts on sale, and then a few days later found a coupon. She took the shirts back so that Macy’s could apply the coupon to the previous sale, but the cashier was new and easily confused. For some reason, the shirts had to be returned first and then repurchased with the coupon. Unfortunately for Macy’s the clerk got to the returning step and mentally blanked on the repurchasing part. So, my mom got three shirts for free. Buy 0, get 3 free sales are the new black.

I still find it completely weird that you have a brother! I don’t know why, you just seem to be that only-child-independent type! Anyways,
I thought this Black Friday sucked (when it comes to electronics), but for clothes, there were alot of pretty good deals. I wish I took advantage of my Kohls forgot-how-many-percent off deals. I definitely blew my chance to try to learn how to dress properly
and after my mom heard about that Walmart guy who got trampled to death (and the shoot-out at Toys R Us), she does not want me to go to any Black Friday events… yea, I listen to her… I’m a mama’s boy.
The only good deal I came across (online) was the Nvidia GTX 260 for $170 (after rebate, but since those bastard worldwiderebates shortened the rebate date, I almost lost my $40, but I contacted Newegg and they still refunded me my $40 rebate! My first purchase from them happens to be my luckiest! Or are they usually this nice? Hmmm.
And I sooo missed my chance to buy Left 4 Dead for 20 bucks! Oh well, not like I can play it now (my new comp parts are still coming in… and one more piece to the puzzle still needs to be bought: the CPU
)
Left 4 Dead is totally awesome. It’s the most intense FPS coop experience I have had since the old BF2 days.
Thats the main reason why I want it (Left 4 Dead that is). Its been such a long time since me and my bro had a good time with a co-op game, (other than Smash Bros, which totally sounds wrong now that I mention me and my brother playing that game… HEY KAB!!! U GOTZ A BRO TOO!!! HIGH FIVE!!! Lets trade! :3)
