This game is sooo addictive and intense. When I started I was pretty noob-tastic trying to slowly follow Shiki's combo paths to move the puck back and forth. However, once I leveled up and got Yoshimitsu, the game became much easier.

I don't even bother controlling the top character anymore, because there is no time. I just chain combos constantly, so there is no time to even look at the top screen. I just finished week 1, and I usually run with Yoshimitsu, Sexy D (I didn't get these at first, but now I understand that throwing cars is awesome), and two random pins. I set my level at like 8 and just chain-4 my way to Star-rating and billions of BPP. It does take a lot of effort to properly evolve your pins though...

I just got Joshua and he is kinda annoying. Maybe once I unlock more difficulty modes I will be motivated to learn his combo system, but there is no point when I can chain-4 in like 40 seconds.

Oh yea man! The screen protectors are a must! I recommend these: =3

Perhaps if you weren’t so nooby =D

*feels the stab in his heart* :( Well, I can accept that... If Kabitzin says it, it must be true!!!

I usually don't visit these wiki pages for games, but that is a very interesting thing to know. Since I had 3 extra DSs laying around the house, I get 20 from each, so that makes 60 for everything mingle session. So I would get triple the amount in one go compared to you. And now that I know the Wii is also considered a mingle device, that would be 80 MPP :D I will admit that I sort of felt bad for cheating like this.

Since you know so much about the game, I'm assuming you already started playing it. I usually set everything to the highest difficulty/lowest defense to collect more stuff. The only complaint I had about that was since I always have it at that setting, I can't record what a monster drops in a different difficulty. Like, it would say, "Ice Frog drops this item at normal difficulty", but have ??? in the "Easy" section. Its feels like a waist to just go to easy mode and find out what it drops. I'm not even sure if it matters if we complete that list, but oh well.

Oh, and Y2K bug was real... until I eated it *NOM NOM NOM*

J159: Perhaps if you weren't so nooby =D you would know the following:

Using the Wii's Nintendo Channel to send a DS demo while in Mingle Mode will trigger a Civvie contact. Also, some games on the Wii that take advantage of using a DS in any way (such as Pokemon Battle Revolution's ability to transfer items to the DS and use it as a controller) may count as Civvies too. Each Civvie is worth 20 MPP.

Since I have a Wii and because "MPP is counted at 20 times its actual value for purposes of determining the dominant PP type in evolution," it is easy to just turn on mingle, get 20 MPP, turn off mingle, rinse and repeat. In fact, for non-evolving pins, this is also a really easy way to get PP.

Good news. Apparently past-me was smart enough to send the package to present-me via media mail, and so after 6.5 years the package supposedly arrived to my door this morning. I'll have to check if it's there when I get home.

As for screen protector, not to worry. The pink DS is already covered in those invisi-film protector things on both screens and on the top and bottom of the clamshell.
