Onion Face

I checked with the plastic surgeon yesterday, and my scar is looking good so far. It kinda looks like a dimple from far away, and I think he did a good job with the incision and extraction. The wound healed nicely, and I think it should go away on its own in a few months. The scar is flush with the skin (not raised), and the firm area is very localized. The doctor told me to start massaging the area and to use Mederma (cocoa butter might cause my skin to break out).

First off, Mederma is expensive stuff! It was $17 for a small bottle, and it seems it only contains onion extract. Moreover, it seems it might not be super-effective on reducing scars, although I’d pay $17 for the chance that it might help a little.

So far I am pleased with the healing of the scar. There were no infections and the wound is healing nicely. I hear the scar will remain dark and red for a while and then fade, and the cut was cleverly done so that it doesn’t stand out anymore than it has to. However, every time I have to go back to the doctor, I always end up waiting an hour and a half before I get shown to a room, and then it is usually another hour before the doctor sees me. This time I was smart, however, and I busted out Bunky’s Pink DS in front of everyone in the waiting room. I gained 3 levels for my primary party and 1 for my backup party while grinding away at Etrian Oddessey. I also beat the boss right before the doctor finally showed up.
