Shaving
I guess I don’t do a great job of shaving with my electric razor, so Bunky has been pressing me to try using an analog razor. I’ve been following proper steps of shaving after showers so that the facial hairs are soft and I shave with the grain. The razors I use have 3 blades, and I use some nice Kiehl’s product for shaving cream and aftershave. However, I don’t think I will be switching exclusively to razor blades.
The electric razor seems to get a closer shave, ironically. I think this is because I will shave against the grain with the electric razor, as the metal foil prevents the shave from being so close that i get bumps or ingrown hairs. The electric shaver is also a great deal faster and more convenient. Also, you don’t get any razor-burn with the electric shaver.
The regular razor blade had some good points, though. It did much better at getting hairs along the jaw line, and did much better with longer hairs (for when I have been lazy for a few days). It was also more of a ceremony, which felt kinda like pampering. I’ve found that I use the regular razor maybe 1-2 times a week, and the rest of the time I just clean up the stubble on my face with the electric razor.

Whoa! Shaving for 1-2 times a week? O_O I don’t even produce that much hair in…err… well, I guess the hair on my head grows pretty quickly. People say my hair is like grass, but it never gets long enough to do a pony tail or anything (which leaves me really disappointed
)
I only have about 3-4 tiny little hairs sticking out of my chin ^_^… You don’t know how envious I am for people who grow out a full beard/mustache! I WANT A BURNSIDE TOO!!! (btw, my sideburns also grow very fast…)
