Melting Pot
Bunky and I tried out fondue for the first time this weekend. We went to The Melting Pot, and it was quite an experience. Bunky doesn’t like cheese so we skipped the cheese fondue, but we tried everything else. The highlight was definitely the chocolate fondue for dessert. They had cheesecake, strawberries, marshmallows, pound cake, etc. to be dipped, and it was delicious. You get a plate for 2 for $16, which is a bit pricey, but is still a much better value than the entree choices.
Both of us were surprised that every entree is cooked at the table, similar to hot pot. But $18 for a salad and a raw, unseasoned chicken breast seems a bit high, even if the chicken is pre-cut for you… Still, it ws a fun (and long) experience, and I would go again for dessert.

Yeah, that place is insanely overpriced for the actual food you get. I remember picking up the tab on the BluPnutMM pre-wedding dinner and the total was around $700 for 12 people.

It’s probably due to the license fees they have to pay to Apple.

I love the Melting Pot! I wish they had it up here in New York.
