I hadn’t taken Greyhound in forever, so I was a little worried. Things went smoother than I expected, although the taxi driver tried to scam me by taking the longest route ever to the bus station. The bus ride itself was uneventful, and Kungfucius picked me up that night. I got to see downtown Columbus which was very new and spacious… and empty. Every time we drove through downtown, the place was empty. Kungfucius’ car was pretty sweet, and I got to experience GPS for the first time. It was fantastic.
It was too late to see Iron Man, but this was just as well. It turns out Catnip had missed her plane, mostly because she had seriously wronged the clerk person in a previous life. I guess they thought Catnip was trying to go to Columbia or something, and they wouldn’t let her on the plane, even though it was still there. I finally got to meet DragonFruits in person, so that was exciting. Ender and I took a few shots at Bob the dummy, too. I found out I am not any good at Rock Band, and then we called it a night.
Tomorrow, I storm Castle Kungfucius. I must select my inventory carefully… I know everyone will marvel at my manliness when I whip out Bunky’s pink DS. I’ll probably bring the uber-slow laptop for some anime in the off hours. Perhaps it’s time to marathon a series from the backburner…
I watched this odd and uncomfortable video of some dorky college student angrily yelling at Ballmer and then chucking three eggs at him. Unfortunately for the Hungarian (ahhh memories of Bball PE class), Ballmer immediately hit MOUSE2 to duck behind some cover and avoid damage. Then comes the really awkward part where the Hungarian has to slowly shuffle out of the packed row to be escorted by security.
I think the lobber was a total jerk. It’s not that easy getting these speakers, and this guy’s conspiracy theory just makes his whole university look bad. Check out at the third egg how someone tries to stop the egg-lobber. Someone should have contested the shot and blocked an egg back in his face! Also, was this guy sitting in his seat the whole time with three raw eggs? That’s not weird or anything…
Ender and I finished up R6V2 in coop mode. I liked it overall, but the ending was a little emo and silly for my tastes. However, the twist made the bad guy’s bitching and moaning in the early flashback scenes that much funnier.
My allergies hit me hard this year, and they’ve caused me tremendous misery. It was so hard to sleep, and I was sniffling all the time. Fortunately, April showers apparently also bring May showers, and with the rain the pollen has not been a problem. This whole week is supposed to have more rain. Normally this would suck, but I really like being able to breathe normally again!
