Someone Has To
Bunky always hates when I bring my bigger camera out with me. She tells me I look like a big dork with a camera around my neck snapping pictures. Quite frankly, she’s right. I usually feel silly snapping pictures when I am just Downtown or in the Strip District, but at the same time I know that it pays off in the end. There are so many times I look back and wish I had taken pictures of a certain place (even if it was just a boring street scene or building) to help me remember it. It might feel silly at the time, but it’s usually worth it in the end.

As a big dork with a bigger camera, I think a good remedy might be to get a camera bag so that you can carry your camera off to the side rather than have it strapped around your neck. Yeah, it might be less convenient to bring it out every so often when you want to use it, but your dorkiness level will be reduced by a factor of 4.

Why would you want to remember a boring street scene? Are you finally turning the corner and appreciating slice-of-life?

I like to take the pictures, but I don’t go back and look at them that often.
I have tried using a bag before too, but it is too slow on the draw. I just suck it up and go dork mode.
