More Mods

After I read this mod guide, I was inspired to try out a few new mods. Lately, I have wanted to decrease the memory footprint of my mods, as MC can grind to a halt when I don’t have my settings turned way down.

  • oRA: CT_Raid Assist seems ok, but I definitely feel it could be improved. I’m intrigued about this oRA that will integrate well with CTRA users and do so with a smaller memory footprint.
  • BigWigs: I have CTRA and also a mod called Lookout, but this mod sounds like an improvement (with the timer bars). I may still keep Lookout, however, as it functions for non-boss encounters too (e.g. when alarmbots or eyes appear).
  • XRaidStatus: It sounds like an improved mod for tracking important raid stats. It might just make me angry and frustrated, though…
  • Bongos: I am really excited about this one. I hate the default action bars, but Discord mods are too complicated and break everything. I would love to have a small and customizable set of action bars, so that I could see more of my screen.
  • FuBar: I have heard a LOT of very good things about FuBar in terms of being faster and more customizable than Titan. I love Titan, but it sounds like FuBar may be worth a try.
  • Perfect Targets: I love SmartAssist, but this sounds extremely useful as well. I like the color-coding to highlight crowd-controlled mobs.

Hmm, I don’t see any difference between the XRaidStatus and the default one already present in CT_Raid. I use the CT_Raid one all the time when I am pulling MC.

I had XRaidStatus up last night and nothing ever showed on it. I don’t know if it was because I hadn’t set it up right or what, but it just took up screen real estate. Probably the reason to use XRaidStatus is if you are using oRA instead of CTRA.
