I Can’t Believe It’s Not Cat!
All of you people out there who wish to enjoy the warm embrace of a feline without the allergic reaction, rejoice! A bio-tech company in California has bred kittens that lack the allergy-causing protein in their saliva. Sure there’s a long waiting list, and each cat costs almost $5,000 after shipping, but think of the money you’ll save on antihistamines! And check out the rigorous testing they did on these kittens:
The allergy protocol involved exposing allergic patients to three rooms of cats for the same amount of time. Each patient in the exposure trial was blindfolded to avoid psychosomatic symptoms. The first room, the placebo room, featured a stuffed animal that felt like a cat. The second room housed Joshua, the ALLERCA hypoallergenic cat and the third room contained a regular cat, a Calico named Tiki.
Now that’s just damn good science.

They should include a fourth room that contains a feral mountain lion that will viciously maul the tester while he is blindfolded. While this is of no real scientific value, at least it adds an additional element of surprise.

You mean like a dire mountain lion?
