I Am A Magician
The G5 iPod is so sweet like whoa, and I have been putting it through its paces since last week. On the buses, which have become increasingly crowded as students begin filing back into Pittsburgh, it is like a personal space shield. Power that sucker up, and you can drown out annoying people yelling on their cell phones. However, this is pretty standard stuff. It wasn’t until Saturday that I truly experienced the Video iPod revolution.
I was coerced into taking Bunky and her demonic little sister shoe-shopping, and was bracing myself for hours of boredom. However, being the visionary that I am, I had gone through the tedious task of ripping and encoding episodes of Firefly to my iPod a few nights before. I had never seen Firefly before, but I’d heard it was pretty good.
Although some of the really dark scenes were harder to make out, overall the quality was excellent. Plus I cannot put into words how much better it is to be watching entertaining TV shows instead of trying to discern the differences between two pairs of shoes that look exactly the same. By remaining stiffly focused on the screen, and randomly throwing out a nod, shake of the head, or generic mumbling noise, I was able to pass quite a bit of time and keep Bunky off my back with ease. Awesome!

Sure the Ipod’s cool, but the real question here is - How did you like Firefly??? Nothing short of brilliant, right?

I’ve only seen 2 episodes, but the series is amazing so far! I can’t believe it got canceled, it makes no sense. It’s like a great MC raid getting called off in the middle… oh wait…

thanks for bringing up such a painful subject…….
Relish each episode, they’re all fantastic.
When you’ve seen them all and coping with no hope of another….pick yourself up, dry your bitter tears and watch SERENITY. The world becomes a better place for two hours.
