I tried hummus for the first time yesterday, and it’s very tasty. I wasn’t sure what to make of it, since I’m not the biggest fan of chickpeas, and hummus has an unappealing look, but the texture and taste of it (I chose a garlic flavored variety) were much better than anticipated. I had it on some toasted flatbread, and am looking forward to trying it in some new combinations.

Awesome pictures of people parking badly in the Yahoo parking lot. My favorites are where the mirrors are actually touching, as if the cars are comforting each other.

Well, Bunky came home yesterday all depressed, but after checking over her essay answers, we determined she probably got between 75-85% correct, which is fantastic. The goal of the Bar is simply to pass, and I think around 65% is a reasonable mark to shoot for. Since she is actually much better at the multiple choice portion that is tested today, I’m not too worried about her passing now. She was fearful that someone would mug her and steal her laptop with all the Bar essay answers on it, on her way back home to upload the answers.
The cake was quite good, but an 8″ cake is a bit much for 2 people, so we’ll probably be eating an all-cake diet for the next few days. I think Bunky’s plan is to get through this test, go out with her friends to celebrate (bar + belated birthday) tonight, sleep until tomorrow afternoon, and then spend the rest of the month playing Sims 2.
