Let the Healing Begin!!!
YES!!!! As expected, it finally happened. The Knicks fired Larry Brown and now Isiah Thomas is their head coach. The Knicks will probably stutter to a horrible record, and trade away more of their draft picks while continuing to get older and more expensive. So why am I happy about this development?
Well the thinking is that Thomas is now coaching the team he put together. If he fails, as I fully expect him to, the fan outrage should be great enough that owner, James Dolan, will have no choice but to fire Thomas and replace him. Does that mean the Knicks will be getting a new coach, general manager, and team president within a year? I am extremely hopeful!!! Somebody please exorcise the demon that is Isiah Thomas!
People may point out that Thomas had a winning record coaching the Pacers way back when. This does not take into account the fact that that team should have been awesome, and really underachieved. I think in light of how badly Thomas has run various organizations (and even the entire CBA league!) into the ground, that he won’t be having much success as coach of the Knicks. The man has no exit strategy!

PS: Woo hoo, Dolan makes it official. Summary: Isiah will not be affiliated with the Knicks by this time next year.
