Found an intriguing guide to increasing Adsense revenue. The revenue generated from the ads at the anime blog are, to be kind, pitiful, and these tools might help out. I am especially intrigued by the blacklist tool, as sometimes the ads are clearly pointing to made-for-Adsense blogs. This would probably also help filter out more of the non-anime related ads. I’ll have to put this into practice when I some time to experiment.
It ended up being quite easy to replace the laptop keyboard. The top plastic piece snapped off, and then it was just two screws holding the keyboard in place. The keyboard is connected by a thin ribbon cord, and after disconnecting that, it was a simple matter of plugging the new keyboard in and reversing the steps. Simple!
The other day, I did the unthinkable and actually invited Bunky to play iSketch with Ender, Velius, Catnip and a few other friends. Bunky rarely games with us, but this was a little different than our usual fare. Although she did pretty well (coming in second on numerous occasions), the excitement proved to be too much for her to handle. While pounding away at the keyboard to guess a word, she actually managed to break off the M key from her keyboard. WTF, calm yourself!
Since Bunky uses a laptop, this proved to be a major problem. The latch is almost impossibly hard to hook onto, and the cheap little key refuses to go back on. Fortunately, Bunky knows she is a spaz and remembered to buy the insurance on the laptop, so they are sending us another laptop keyboard which I am going to have to install. This should be interesting…
In much more positive news, Velius and I got our main characters in WoW to level 40 so now my Gnomish Warrior has a green Mechanostrider. It looks silly and seems like it could break apart any second, but that 60% speed boost is truly awesome!
Woo hoo, third year’s the charm! After two futile attempts, my fantasy NBA team has finally gone all the way and taken the RBJ league championship! I know it’s not really that much to brag about, but I still wanted to win. Ender’s MoolaFraggers came through in the consolation game for 3rd place, so we both did pretty well. My match was close all week, but I pulled away over the weekend for a handy 6-3 victory.
