Optimal and Not Just Feasible

It’s been a busy week, as Bunky and I finally got rid of this awful upholstered chair in our living room. Obviously, space is at a premium in the cottage, and this ugly chair had been dumped on us by her family (it had previously lived in the basement). It also took up critical corner space near a window, since the chair had to face towards the TV. However, the spirit finally moved us this weekend and with a little help, I managed to stuff the large chair into my tiny Scion xA (it was a very tight fit). I then drove it to the thrift store and donated it, so everybody wins.

With the chair gone, the dining room table and various other objects were shifted into more natural spaces, completely opening up tons of space in the living room. The transformation was nothing short of amazing. The defeat of the chair had power: the power to make Bunky spend. With all the newly available space, Bunky went on a shopping spree, purchasing a medium-sized cat tree, a tall skinny bookcase from Ikea, and a ton of shoes. I’m not sure why all the shoes were purchased, but at least I won’t have to assemble those…

She’s also got a free iPod nano coming in a few weeks (from using so much WestLaw).

Yes, of course. What better way to celebrate your newfound space than by filling it up with a ton of useless shoes that will be used maybe once every 2 years then forgotten.

You get free iPod Nanos from using WestLaw?

Are you sure the Nano isn’t just part of this shopping craze?

I wish PubMed, MDConsult or Google had a free iPod Nano deal associated with overuse T_T
