Finished Potter
Ok, major spoilers this time...
- Even though I correctly called Dumbledore taking the fall, I (and Scooby) was completely wrong about the Prince.
- Hermione's predictions were all wrong!
- Fleur was pretty cool at the end, especially since she's fake French and all.
- The Lupin x Tonks thing was unnecessary.
- I guess it's true; the simplest way to disguise something is to put it in plain sight.
- I trusted Snape, too... the whole way Dumbledore got taken down really leaves you with a sick feeling.
- The next book has a lot of explaining to do.
- Now Harry's decided it's time to stop angsting and time to start kicking some ass...
That's all for now, I'm feeling fragile at the moment *__*.

Yeah, good point regarding Lupin x Tonks — I can’t imagine why Rowlings decided to include that. Even Bill x Fleur seemed to be blown out of proportion, for what it’s worth. And what happened to Krum?
I’m not sure if ‘disappointing’ is the right word to use, but there are a lot of unanswered holes in the plot — in retrospect, I prefer ‘Goblet of Fire’, just because everything is so tightly wound, and the story makes sense at the end T_T

While I was entertained, this one did not seem like one of Rowlings’ better works. As you mentioned, this one was not as well woven together, and there did seem to be a lot of fluff. It’s possible that this book was just a setup book, since there is going to be a ton of stuff happening in the next one, but after such a long wait, it’s only natural to feel a little disappointment. But it was still a good read.
And Hermione is nothing if not patient! What’s she waiting for?! Last chapter should have been “How Tonks Got Her Groove Back” haha!

Is that the one where they are all peering down the giant magnifying glass at Hermione’s cleavage?

Yep — couldn’t help cracking up at the ‘Incendio’, ‘Couchio’, ‘Stereo’ line
