Recurring Nightmare

Ugggggh, I thought I had gotten the domain transfer to go through last year when I tried to switch over the anime blog to Surpass Domains. However, since I had initially purchased it through Lunar, which had purchased it through eNom, who had resold it to ICDsoft or something, when I tried to change the nameservers today, I found that the transfer was still pending. OMFG, why is it so freaking hard to transfer domains?!

So right now, the anime blog seems to be down, and I can’t implement the fix that Surpass gave me, because ICDsoft’s page won’t let me register to edit domain details (even though I provided all the correct information), and the fix I thought I had implemented last year turned out to have never gone through. So frustrating!!!

Summer

I’m a week behind, but here’s my offering for the “Summer” theme. It’s Princess Fine of Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime, the glutton of the Sun Kingdom duo. Truly, is there anything so tragic as a dropped ice cream cone? This one was a quickie, since I am totally brain-blocked on the “Black and White” theme coming up, so I went SD with rather simplistic coloring. The next theme that I’ll probably be late on is “Heroes”.

For a little while, I kinda wanted to do an “Otou-san” hat version, for all you Azumanga Daioh fans out there. But then I remembered that I’m too lazy -__- …

Not On the A-List

OMFG, Bunky and some coworkers went to a premiere of Land of the Dead (and this golf tourney) and Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley were at the afterparty! She says that she’s working at a law firm this summer, but I’m starting to not believe her!!! WTF?!?!?!?! They even rented a stretch hummer or something, but at least they got turned away from the red carpet cause they weren’t “on the list”.

Breaking news: Bunky just told me the stretch hummer had a dance floor OMFGWTFBBQ!!!!

Death Row

Bunky’s been toiling away at her summer associate thing for over a month now, and it’s always so interesting to hear about the social events that she has to go to. It’s like a late radio show when she calls late at night (after putting in crazy hours) to tell me about her long day followed by a long banquet/show/etc. My favorite event that she has to go to is Dragon Boat racing. I have a friend who is quite into Dragon Boat racing, and so I was really surprised to hear that Bunky was doing it. I guess it is supposed to be team-building and especially fitting, since they have like… three rivers or whatever to choose from.

Now Bunky isn’t exactly the most, er, coordinated of athletes, so apparently the head RowMastah (not sure what the proper name is for whoever gives the orders on the boat) picks on her a lot. She said the first time she got on the boat, he gave her a really hard time and everyone had to tell him that this was the first time she’d ever been on a Dragon Boat. The second time she tried it, she got the verbal smackdown again, and so apparently there will be no mercy this summer. I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but part of me really cracks up on the inside when I picture her trying to row in tandem with everyone else… It’s like the same part of me that cracks up when I remember the time she signed up to go paintballing with her best friend, without knowing what paintballing was (I tried to explain it to her beforehand, but she figured it would be like laser tag).

So anyone have any useful tips for a Dragon Boating newbie?
