Car Nightmare Ends

I picked up the car, yesterday. Final total: $601. I don’t even want to think about the retarded price changes anymore. They did an oil change and state inspection for me as well. That’d be super and all, except I had done the inspection 1 month ago, and gotten the oil changed 2 weeks ago… They charged me for it, of course. Whatever. Anyway, the car runs a lot different than it ever has before. I think it’s a good different, but I’m pretty antsy whenever I hear a new sound come from the engine. From the sound of things, it took them about 2-3 days of cleaning all the pipes to get the carbon and gook out. I don’t think they found the mouse.

One of the things that I really hate is when you get in the car on a really hot or cold day and the steering wheel either freezes or burns your hands. Well, I finally decided to do something about it: I got a steering wheel cover. It was really hard to, um, install. I wanted a soft squishy foam one (that would be made of a material with low heat conductivity), while Bunky wanted a plain black rubber one (to make the wheel easy to grip). So we compromised and got a cover that is 1/2 rubber nubby grips, and 1/2 leopard print faux fur. If you divided the steering wheel into 6 slices, every other slice would be faux leopard fur. I don’t care if it looks kinda tacky, I like it =). Raaaaawr!
