I saw this interesting political compass link on Outernet and I had to take the test. I had always wondered where I would lie. Soooo, after taking the questionnaire, I found that my coordinates are Economic Left/Right: -3.38 and Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.62. Apparently I am slightly Left/Libertarian and I somewhat resemble the political beliefs of Jean Chretien and Ghandi… I’m not sure what to make of that.
I finally took the car to the Jiffy Lube today to get the oil changed. Apparently the air filter was disgusting and the gas lines had rotted through. Fabulous. It looks like sometime in the near future, I’ll have to go to get the lines replaced. In happier shopping news, I did a lot of shopping for the cottage today. There is now a new vase with cut flowers, a giant peace lilly, and a nice painting in the living room. The Lowes where I got all the stuff was kinda far, but it was definitely worth it. The living room is positively organic now. I also got a new suet holder in hopes that the squirrels won’t completely destroy this one.
I really should have had more faith, but I was starting to worry about Naruto. However, I simply can’t wait to see this animated. Even the seemingly unimportant characters are so important, and now I keep hearing that sad theme play in my head =(. Shikimaru is teh roxxor without a doubt. The manga is SO GOOD, and yet the anime is just as important (especially that music, sooya!). Too bad you don’t get the coolness of the hand seals in the manga. What’s the deal with pet pigs? Just like in Peacemaker Kurogane…
My legs are kinda sore so I’ve been hobbling around all day. It’s a good kind of sore, though. Playing massive amounts of Final Fantasy XI helped heal my eyes. I’m starting to get to the point where soloing isn’t an option, due to the downtime needed to recharge mana. Yesterday, I finally took down a Yagudo ^__^. My group member (a level 1 white mage) got all the items, though!!! Then on my way back a bunch of Crawlers ambushed me. It was like I was a monster and they were a group… Chiriri is at level 7 now.
BTW, in case anyone was actually wondering, Britney’s latest album is WEAK. What can I say, Napster is addictive when it’s legal (and Bunky pays for it).
Ugh, made it to the gym. Quads hurt so bad. Too many hours of 3 on 3. The mid-range jumper was (surprisingly) falling like it was laser guided, but my legs are in some serious pain right now. Saw too much old, hairy flesh in locker room, so eyes are also in pain. Gonna take a nap… =__=
Who says that Apples can’t be upgraded? A betta would probably be the only fish that you’d want in a tiny tank like that, especially since the tank has no heater or filter. In other vaguely computer news, Kasparov played game 4 to a draw, ending the X3D Man-Machine World Chess Championship tournament in a 2-2 tie. Interestingly enough, “since it drew the match X3D Fritz said it was going to store a virtual reality copy of the trophy for itself.” How cute.
It’s been chilly here recently. I want to play basketball. Yesterday I watched a drama-thing about two twins on a HS women’s basketball team on the Disney channel. It started out ok, but the cheese at the end of was seppuka-inducing. Although I don’t expect anyone to actually go watch it, I will blank out the spoilers (highlight to read). The ending totally blew. Why did Heather come back on just one good leg? What a glory hog. The three pass training was totally lifted from Hoosers, and that Willis Reed comeback was just awful. And why in the world would anyone bite on that lame decoy? The plot in Dear Boys is more convincing. I thought that the behind the back pass for the final assist was completely uncalled for, and it was hilarious how (despite the triumphant music) it came this close to going out of bounds. The coach should have just told Heather “Sorry, ride the pine” and then everyone would have gotten that terrible awkward, sad feeling like when you watch the final match in He Got Game, or Kimi ga Nozomu Eien episode 2-3. Just a terrible, terrible ending.
I need to get to the gym. I may make another attempt at finding the gym today since, as Bunky so kindly pointed out, I didn’t quite make it there yesterday >__<. Hopefully it won’t be too dark by the time I get out from work, or else I’ll probably get lost (as usual). During today’s weekly staff meeting we noticed a large sign someone had made that proclaimed, “The computers will turn on if you jiggle the mouse!” Hmm, hmmm, I guess it’s not completely inaccurate…
