About Fanart pages #1

To make up for my past laziness in posting, I’m going to make an attempt to go through some Anipike fanart pages and post links to some good ones I find. Maybe this will be a bit of a project if I’m devoted enough. Now, like everyone else, I’m going to start with #/A. Man, shoulda named my site ~~–!A!–~~ or something so that mine could be on the front page =P. Being listed here just means you caught my eye in less than half a minute and I’ve been intrigued by your site and art. So in case you were wondering if anyone bothers to get past page one and check out your art, the answer is Yes! Me! I’m a nut… Not being here has no negative connotations, though. Although most of the sites that I listed here also garnered a 10 vote from me, since I’d have appreciated someone doing that for me. Oh lordie, there are 9 pages for A-D alone…. *sob* So here goes:

A-D Page 1:
@berration: Some really nice CG! I’d like to see more of the beautiful colored works.
Ai Candy: Wonderful and whimsical pics. Good action poses, too. There’s even two Oekaki boards here.
Al’s PlayGround: More of a traditional style, but the sketchbook’s nice and he’s clearly a very good artist. Lol, I say traditional style like it’s a bad thing.
Alon’s Original Manga Works: Love the art, hate the pop-ups. Someone get Alon some banner-free webspace please! Seriously, great CG works.
Amai*iro: Slick site with slick art to back it up. Whoever gave this site a 5 sucks! She has a kinda cutesy style and wonderful CGing skills.
Anatomic Bomb: Yume is cute ^__^. This page is multi-lingual too.
andromeche evangeline: So THAT’s what good colored pencil art is supposed to look like!

Someone…stop…the…pop-ups… Phew, on to page 2 (where almost every page title starts with the word “Anime”):

A-D Page 2:
Anime Unlimited Art Page: I was really starting to get worried about page 2 getting no-hit… Wonderful painting style on this page, and lots of art.

A-D Page 3:
+Sweetlicious+: It’s actually listed under AO Studio. Is that cheating? Great art, though.
apsylus.com: Pamela was Anipike’s Guest Artist for the month of June =) so you know she rocks.
Arashi’s Anime Art: Ok, Arashi may not have the most compelling HTML abilities, but there are some great mechanical pencil pieces here, especially the J-rock fanart.
Artbomb:When Boys Be: Eisu is amazing, and a member of the Yongumi sketch blog that I love.
The Artlair: Several very good artists on this site.
ARTPLAYMIX: Jason and Heather are an amazing team! Their collaborative efforts are wonderous.
Artoki!: Rachel has some great anime style pieces and numerous beautiful nature/animal drawings.

Oh dear, I think my head is going to explode. That was 150 pages I just went through. Almost at the end of the A’s. Since I picked 15 out of 150 listed sites, my admission rate is currently at 10% (I’m a math whiz). Next review will start at A-D Page 4. This may take a while…

I always wondered if anyone else will ever go through all those links! It’d be like trying ever restuarant in the phone book, lol. I’m calling on everyone to try it! On a different note, who goes out of the way to rate some really good sites really low? Since everyone starts with a 9, the only way for these great sites to drop below 8 is when someone purposely goes to drop their rating. Plus there’s a floor on how low you can rate. Some people are really just malicious… Personally, I only give a good rating or no rating at all. End of rant.

I’m listening to the “Party Favorites” channel of cable/music. How the f*** did the song “Who Let the Dogs Out?” ever become a hit?????? It’s making me want to throw up in my mouth. It’s like a terrible kids song. I hate it so much.
